Collis 3Design is co-founded by Dr Elizabeth Hill. It’s first range of products is Minifig Battlefields and it is on a mission to bring back the creativity of building with minifigs and other well-know brick brands, through learning and education to enable schools during the WW1 commemorations to tell their stories in a different way.
As a self-confessed techno-geek, having worked on numerous technology due diligence projects for global financial institutions in the healthcare and technology sectors, 3D printing encompasses all that I enjoy as a scientist. I started my career as a chemist and then built my own instrument for research which included coding, design, materials and testing.
3D printing technology enables anyone to make something and it is a tool that young people can and should embrace now and will enjoy. We are passionate about all things 3D printing as it has such a wide range of applications from stem cells to Star Wars. Having the opportunity to introduce this to young people is only the beginning – it will open up their creativity.
