Ed Fairfield
Ed has a passion for how technology can used in schools to improve teaching and learning experiences. As Vice Chair of Naace – the EdTech Association, he has excellent insights into a wide range of technologies being used – it’s clear in his view that Digital Making and 3D printing has the potential to change the game in many parts of our society.
Additionally, Ed is a primary School Governor overseeing the Computing curriculum and IT at the schools. As well as the conceptual potential technology brings to schools, this means he’s seeing the real results and day-to-day impact technology has in the classroom. Making learning more engaging, making teaching and assessment more effective and also helping bring different parts of the curriculum together, with use of technology as the hub.
Ed also has a strong commercial background in his role at Elementary Technology – a company dedicated to helping schools Plan, Choose, Buy and Use technology to deliver better education.
