Currently studying a PhD in Inclusive Design and Digitalisation, Elen’s focus is on using digital processes to innovate everyday products and services. She is a product designer aiming to improve situations through design.
Her work aims to reduce exclusion by design both physically and socially. Her approach includes using human-centred design methods to create designed products that are both current and inclusive. She does this on the basis that design should be essential for some but desirable for all.
In her day to day work at Print City, Elen works with clients to create design solutions that incorporate functionality and aesthetics. She digitally models and produces CAD files, as well as working closely with Additive Manufacturing techniques to produce physical prototypes along with animations and visualisations to communicate design ideas and products.
A part of the 2019 BiMA 100 – an award that celebrates 100 of the people who are leading the digital industry right now we’re very proud to have Elen as part of the CREATE Education Community.
