Georgina Barker
Georgina is currently studying an MSc in Industrial Digitalisation at Manchester Metropolitan University and is a recipient of the Autodesk Women in Leadership Scholarship 2018/19. Having studied BA (Hons) Textiles in Practice at Manchester School of Art, gaining a First-Class Honours and winning two awards for her final collection at the degree show 2018.
Georgina aims to explore how traditional methods of creating fabrics can be manipulated using new technologies such as 3D printing to create smart and technical textiles. The decision to study an MSc in Industrial Digitalisation is to broaden her technical knowledge and push innovation within her practice as a designer, alongside working collaboratively with such diverse specialisms.
