
Jim Dunnicliffe-Smith
With over 25 years’ experience within automotive and aerospace engineering Jim has developed a demonstrable background in gas turbine new manufacture and repair & overhaul. Working with some of the best “blue-chip” engineering companies in the world including Rolls-Royce, Delta TechOps, Lockheed Martin, and more recently Siemens Energy.
Over the years he has had the opportunity to develop his core skills across a broad range of business areas and operating levels. Jim can regularly be found in some far away, and sometimes obscure locations leading capability & infrastructure growth type programmes.
He is a natural born problem solver and prides himself on being able to apply the practical application of common sense to any given situation. Jim is passionate about pre/early career development, life-long learning and encouraging the future generations to explore all things engineering. Jim advocates the use of future technologies and digitalisation and has active additive manufacturing developments underway with Siemens Energy. His most recent claim to fame was to initiate and fund the challenge to make the world’s largest 3D printed gas turbine engine with An Duong, 3DGBIRE and Create Education.
