
Kate Walker
Kate is a recent graduate of Loughborough University, where she studied Product Design Engineering. During her time at university, Kate developed a design for the ExpHand, as part of her dissertation project. A year ago, Kate founded ExpHand Prosthetic whilst being heavily involved in the Loughborough Enterprise Network. Since graduating, transitioning to working for her company full time.
ExpHand Prosthetics designs and creates 3D printed upper limb prosthetics for children that can be adjusted in size as the child grows.
Though a young business, ExpHand Prosthetics has been successful in multiple business and enterprise competitions, with Kate also being named Experian’s Entrepreneur of the Year.
