About

A makerspace is a collaborative work space for making, learning, exploring and sharing using both high tech tools and traditional crafting methods. Makerspaces are open to young people, adults and entrepreneurs and have a variety of equipment such as laser cutters, 3D printers, soldering irons, sewing machines, CAD Cutters and heat presses.

The maker community has a mindset of creating something out of nothing, working together to solve problems and helping support people who need skills in STEM related fields. They provide hands on learning, critical thinking and problem solving skills and boost self confidence. Makerspaces also foster entrepreneurship and provide incubators for business startups.

Whether you’re interested in traditional crafts, want to learn to use digital making equipment or just want to tinker with some electronics, Little Sandbox has something for you. Not least a friendly welcome and a hot drink
