Ray Cilia

Ray Cilia

Ray describes himself as a creative person with the ability to visualize and sketch. With his teaching experience he has learned how to diversify and help youngsters realise their ideas. He enjoys CAD and working in a workshop environment with his aim being to use his creative abilities for a worthy cause – currently that has been education.

Ray has completed a National Leadership course and has experience of leading a department. His ethos is support, collaboration and team-building – all the things embodied by CREATE Education.

Currently the Education climate for Design Technology is changing and in many schools there is a reduction in the curriculum and Ray has championed how 3D printing can help counteract this – to the extent of leading fundraising causes to get a 3D printer into his school.

Aside from this Ray has worked in a volunteer capacity for Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre to lead their Education program with over 14000 visitors attending last year.
