I’m really passionate about building the future, by empowering young people learning through emerging technologies like augmented reality, virtual reality, machine learning, coding, 3d print etc. Personally, it is a honor for me to be a small part of this.
My interest in technology dates back to my childhood, right from my first clockwork helicopter to the latest Iphone I possess. A keen interest to understand the underlaying fuctioning of a toy was a prime reason for my undertaking a STEM and Computer based course as part of my High school curriculum. This laid the platform for me to pursue a Bachelors in Eletronics and Communication Engineering which seemed to be the best fit to meet my interests and to kill my curiosity.
During the course of my undergraduate program, I was exposed to several core subjects such as microprocessors, micro controllers and computer architecture. To interpret my theoretical knowledge in a real time scenario, I undertook a project ‘SMART CARD’. This experience provided me an opportunity to gain exposure to concepts in C programming that I self-learned and developed my very own software.
Originally I started my career as a Graphic Designer in 2003, in the mid 2006 progressed into working with all things 3D from a Digital Design and Game Development perspective and then moved into Real time Visual simulation in 2009. Later in my life, I developed an interest in a particular aspect of emerging technology- AR/VR. This interest first started with being a part of Guitar Hero game development.
Aside from that, I’ve been working hard to empower many young people towards the STEM education. I started that in Redbridge Central Library as a Code club volunteer to promote next-gen young innovators in STEM and emerging technologies such 3D print, AR/VR, Machine learning etc. Completed Level 3 Award in Education and Training that provides me the awareness, confidence and capabilities, also pushing myself to deliver the high standard of training.
In the future, I would love to continue my working in my field of interest and eventually humbled to share my experiences and guide talented young people on their own journeys by sparking an interest in the latest emerging technologies like 3D printing, artificial intelligence and AR/VR that inspire more students towards STEM. My experience with students so far and the years to come will play a big role towards shaping up the lives of so many future STEM experts.
