Steve Cox
I’m Steve Cox, and for many years I was involved with the design and development of some of the finest vehicles in the world for Jaguar and Land Rover. I’ve designed, developed and tested vehicles to their limits in the UK, as well as on the other side of the world in Australia and in the frozen wastes of Northern Canada. I have led teams of up to 25 people in bringing vehicles from the stylist’s pen and early concept stage right the way through to volume production.
My passion is now 3D printing, and I bring all that automotive industry experience and engineering knowledge into exploring the opportunities that are developing for this exciting new technology. I have my own company called AMFORi Consulting and my work as a 3D Technologies Consultant involves helping both industry and education to understand the benefits that 3D printing and additive manufacturing can provide, and help both sectors with the effective adoption of this exciting technology.
I am also an Autodesk Certified Instructor for Fusion 360 because creation of 3D designs is such a very important part of getting the most out of 3D printing.
I truly believe that the generation that are currently within the education system will be the ones who really go on to explore the full potential of 3D printing. That’s why I’m so pleased to be a CREATE Education Project Ambassador in order to help inspire the next generation of creators, makers, engineers and technologists.
