The iForge will have 3D printers, laser cutters, woodworking tools, an electronics station and more to allow you to make whatever you want! And most importantly, it will be run by students for students!

Users can access materials and support from the iForge to make:

Amy, 4th year MEng Aerospace Engineering

‘I love to get hands on and creative. It is so important with any degree to have the opportunity to bring your ideas to life or simply learn new skills. I am looking forward to the practical, creative opportunities this will bring to my degree.
As an iForge Rep, I can work on my own projects, personal and course-related, while helping and encouraging others and making this makerspace at the iForge a wonderful welcoming place of creation.’

‘The one thing I always complained about is how short the “hands-on” experience we get as engineering students is.
Being an iForge Rep will give me free training and real hands-on experience of 3D printing and laser cutting. I enjoy helping others and look forward to training and inspiring users.
Having 24 hour access to the space will really benefit my final year research/design project!’
