The TCT show is a world-leading design-to-manufacturing event showcasing the latest in additive manufacturing, 3D printing, design and engineering technology.
The CREATE Education Project is running the Inspired Minds Classroom at TCT Show, and we have invited schools and colleges to take part.
The TCT Inspired Minds Classroom is a free 3-hour additive manufacturing experience for groups of 28 students.
The experience focuses on giving students an introduction to the skill sets needed for additive manufacturing along with the chance to hear from, and ask questions to leading experts who are using the technology within their respective fields.
Students have the opportunity to listen to talks from industry experts, learn about CAD design and participate in a 3D printing challenge using Ultimaker 3D printing equipment and have a tour around the TCT Show.
First, talks from industry leaders giving students the opportunity to learn about the most innovative new technology in the industry. Then the tables will turn as the students challenge the ‘Inspired Minds Panel’ and pose their own questions to the experts.
Led by Autodesk trained instructors, the second component will give students an introduction to CAD design skills using Autodesk Fusion 360. The students will be set a challenge to design and model elements to fit within a brief before learning how to slice and 3D print their models using Ultimaker 3D printing equipment.
The last part of the experience will give the students a taste of the real thing as they take a tour around the TCT show floor. They will have the opportunity to see the latest innovations in the design-manufacturing world and will have the opportunity to connect and interact with over 300 exhibitors.
For over 20 years, TCT Show has set the industry agenda, bringing together dozens of inspirational speakers, 300+ exhibiting companies and more than 10,000 visitors from over 60 countries.
