During the UK Coronavirus lockdown and initial weeks of the pandemic, Design and Technology Departments in schools across the UK used their skills, 3D printers and expertise to manufacture Face Visors and other items of PPE. These were distribute to the NHS and other key organisations across the country. Together they produced and donated almost half a million items of PPE. This collaboration between schools also shows the value of 3D printing as a manufacturing technology.
This poster was created by Sarah Wollerton of Framingham Earl High School and Jonathan Meeson of Stradbroke High School both in the Sapientia Education Trust to showcase Design and technology, inspire students so that they appreciate the value of the subject and encourage them to continue studying the subject at GCSE and beyond.
They have kindly shared this resource as a free download.
