Careers in 3D Printing
3D printing and additive manufacturing technology has opened up a wealth of new career options for students interested in working with this relatively new manufacturing technology. Many of the these jobs didn’t exist 5 years ago and the impact of 3D printing is even being seen across more traditional career paths such as medicine, law, architecture and fashion as well as the engineering, automotive and construction industries.
To take advantage of these potential future careers, students first of all need to be aware of where 3D printing is used, it’s applications and the potential careers opportunities. Following this they need to understand the types of job roles that exist within the 3D printing industry and the knowledge and skills required to embark upon a career in the 3D printing industry.
