CREATE Education

Established in 2014, The CREATE Education Project was set up with one aim in mind, to support teachers and education professionals to embed 3D printing and 3D technologies into classrooms, giving young people access to innovative future career skills. Find out more about our CREATE Strategy here!

The CREATE Education Project is not a charity; we are a private limited company but we have  the aims and vision of a charity. The CREATE Education Project works exclusively with education and businesses wanting to support young people to develop additive manufacturing skills for the future.

Loan Scheme

You can loan a:

  • 3D Printer
  • 3D Scanner
  • 3D Former

from CREATE Education. We loan Dremel and Ultimaker 3D printers, Shining 3D scanners and Mayku Formboxes. We currently do not loan Mayku Multipliers, but you can book a free in person or Zoom demonstration of the Mayku Multiplier here.

We loan our 3D printers, 3D scanners and 3D formers on a half termly basis. We usually send your loan to you within the first week of the half term and arrange to collect it again in the last week of the half term, giving you 5 weeks to create and innovate! To find out more, click here.

To loan a 3D printer, currently we ask for £50 for postage and packaging. This is non-refundable. We also ask for £450 as a deposit. This is fully refundable at the end of the loan period, as long as you fulfil some terms and conditions. To find out more and check the prices for other 3D technology, click here.

No! You can, but you don’t need to. Each loan printer will come with a roll of filament which is around 750g. This is enough filament to undertake whole primary school projects, such as Mellor Community Primary did. If you want to invest in more colours of filament, we would recommend Dremel PLA Filament, Ultimaker PLA filament or Filamentive rPLA filament. Get in touch with us at enquiries@createeducation.com to raise an order.

CREATE Education was set up to allow as many young people access to 3D printing and 3D technologies, therefore we tend not to loan out a 3D printer to an organisation more than once. There are exceptions to this, so if you think you have a strong case to access a second loan, please get in touch with us on 01257 276 116.

Warranties and Servicing

Most 3D printer, 3D scanners and 3d formers come with a 12 month warranty. We would suggest that you double check on our marketplace for specific products before you purchase: marketplace.createeducation.com or ring us on 01257 276 116.

Our reconditioned units come with a 6 month warranty. To find out more about this, ring us on 01257 276 116.

We offer extended warranties on all of our 3D printers. This covers your printer for 3 years from purchase. To find out more about our extended warranties and to buy one today, please visit https://marketplace.createeducation.com/warranty/

Each of the manufacturers warranties will include different things. If you need clarification on this, please get in touch with us. Phone us on 01257 276 116 or email us at enquiries@createeducation.com
